Step into our vibrant Second Year ECCE Room - Giraffe, where learning comes alive in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Within this dynamic space, we foster a love for learning and exploration, preparing our young learners for a lifetime of success and achievement.

In our pre-school area, a team of four dedicated staff members work tirelessly to provide exemplary care and education for our twenty eager learners. With a child ratio of 1:8 for full-day care and 1:11 for ECCE sessions, we ensure that each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Leading the way is Michelle Murray, our esteemed Deputy Manager and Leader in the Giraffe Room. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role, holding a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education Level 8. Her qualifications include specialized training in Montessori Pedagogy, Child Protection, Building Pictures of Learning, Positive Behaviour Management, Siolta, as well as certifications in First Aid Responder (FAR), Manual Handling, and Fire Safety. Michelle's dedication to excellence sets the standard for quality care and education in our Giraffe Room.

Assisting Michelle is Maggie Rodgers, a compassionate assistant committed to the well-being and development of our young learners. Maggie holds a Fetac Level 6 qualification in Childcare and Education, with certifications in Child Protection, First Aid Responder (FAR), and Manual Handling. With her nurturing approach, Maggie creates a warm and supportive environment where children feel valued and encouraged to explore.

Supporting Michelle and Maggie is Amanda Byrne, our dedicated Deputy Leader, who brings a unique blend of qualifications and experience to the Giraffe Room. Amanda holds a Level 8 degree in Forensic Science and a Fetac Level 7 qualification in Early Years Care, Health, and Education. Her credentials also include certifications in First Aid Responder (FAR), Manual Handling, and Fire Safety. With her passion for education and commitment to excellence, Amanda plays a key role in shaping the educational experience of our young learners.

Joining our team is Fathima Farzana Shaju, an enthusiastic assistant with a strong educational background. Fathima holds a Master's degree in English Language and Literature, Bachelor's degrees in Education and English Language and Literature, as well as a Level 6 qualification in Early Years Care and Education. With her diverse skill set and passion for teaching, Fathima enriches the learning experience of our Giraffe Room children.

Liz Brady is a dedicated and highly qualified Additional Needs Support Assistant with a Fetac Level 5 certification in Childcare. Her extensive training includes First Aid Response (FAR), Fire Safety, Child Protection, and Learning Stories, ensuring she is well-equipped to handle various aspects of childcare and emergency situations. Additionally, Liz has completed a Bereavement Workshop, which provides her with the skills and sensitivity to support children and families through difficult times. Her comprehensive skill set and compassionate approach make her an invaluable asset in any childcare setting.
